Saw this pop up earlier on social media. Great idea, I might give it a go with buggerlugs. If you get lucky less than £400 for a fourball at Royal Birkdale is an absolute steal.

Not sure where I heard this info, but I think they got in the region of 8,000 applicants. Perhaps on a NCG podcast.

Not really surprising, it’s a great offer even more so if you live near and as long as you are realistic with your expectations, most people I know have entered numerous times (just over an hour away).
Four of us had a go - not holding my breath, but you have to be in it to win it.

Seems to roughly add up. 26800 players/8000 applicants = 3-4 players per applicant/tee time
