Played today in the stableford.

Front 9 was like i'd never held a golf club and absolutely robbed 11 points!

Back 9 got 21 points to come somewhere near respectability.

Anyone had a bigger difference in score/points?

Quite anodd round really, never had something like that before.

Best one iv had was 26 points out and 16 back.....
Iv no idea what happened on the back 9 but i was pinging them in from everywhere on the front 9...

I think on the same day i chipped in 3 times with my 7 iron from 10 yards away from the green.

I remember playing Worfield GC off about 11, but was off 9 that day for a society-type do.
I played the front nine holes 9 over and the back nine level par....for 36 points.

I reckon I must have scored something like 13 or 14 and then 23 or 22. It was a bit silly.

I won 3 pinnacles for my trouble. If I'd been off my proper 11, I'd have won a decent prize that day.

Dunno what the points were exactly but played a medal level on the front and +13 on the back earlier this year, I think I was off 12 at the time so would equate to something like 24 out and 11 back. I also scored 37 pts at bird hills after playing the back nine 1 under. Don't remember what h'cap I was off at the time but the points difference must have been pretty big

80% of my rounds are like that lol.

The back 9 is much much harder than the front but that makes no difference at all to my scoring patterns, an average round for me is 13 on one 9 and 23 on the other 9, it really is quite often a game of 2 halves for me and quite often i score badly on the easy 9 and amazingly on the tough 9. *confused smiley*

First time I played my club as a visitor in the mid 70's, I shot something like 48 on the front nine, and 33 on the back. Only really remember it as it was the first time I had broken par for 9 holes. The only other time I can remember was the front nine same course 30 plus years later. At least it shows perseverance.

Did have 16 points front 23 back to win a stableford on countback last year.:)

Last Sunday 24 front, 9 back off 20hcp

Two years ago had 29 front and 4 back off 28hcp

I ask my playing partners not to tell me my score as it really affects how I play and I do not keep count.

I played in a 15 hole winter comp a few years back off 28 handicap.
Played the front 9 in 1 over gross for 31 points and then had 7 points, with 2 blobs, on the last 6.
Doubt I'll ever play the front 9 anything like it again, which is bloody depressing.
