Made a change to my set up this week to stand more upright at address with a strighter back. Took some bedding in but was hitting the ball well last night. Played a roll up this morning and started off ok but then lost my way with the new swing especially on the drives.
Went to the range this afternoon and checked into Shankville. Everything was low and right. I felt as though I was coming way inside on the way back and either coming OTT and presenting the hosel to the ball or was trying to come back inside and not squaring the club correctly.
I'm now in a pickle mentally. I don't know wheree my swing is, what I'm trying to do or where to go next. I'm hoping some sleep and a clear mind in the morning will get me back on track. My club pro and my usual coach are fully booked all week so getting a lesson isn't an option. I don't want to go back to my old address which had got way to much knee bend and was almost a squat position. I know the taller address angle is the way to go to give myself more room to turn and generate more power.
I hope this was just a blip probably caused by trying to think too much about the swing and maybe just one swing fault causing a domino effect. Tomorrow will be do or die before I hit a major period of matches and competitions
