Best time to sell??

Anyone given much thought to when the best time to sell clubs on eBay??

I've accumulated a bit of a surplus in clubs this year and looking to set a few free. Being left handed the demand is pretty low and I'm seeing alot of clubs getting no bids or silly bids (usually by me) winning currently.

I'm thinking just after masters may be prime time to sell. Or is it still abit early?

Think after majors is a good time. I always see loads of kids in the local park after the open. Think the masters maybe just a bit early though(the weather will not be good enough to get the kids from the computer screen).

Also look out for free listing weekends usually one a month due this week or next means you can start at the lowest you will accept without having to pay listing charge. Good for the more expensive bits and bobs.

OP, im just about to do the same, but i will give one bit of advice. Do not sell and have them finishing when there is anything major on the tv, IE golf, f1, footy etc. Also think what people would be doing around the time the item is due to finish, driving back from work, out for dinner on a friday/saturday night and so on.

you want to have them finishing when people would be having nothing better to do other than surf ebay... or try the forsales here.

Thanks. Great advice!! my best bargins have always been at strange times. Ones i get bid out of are always over lunchtime!!!! Apologies for numerous replies, just seen i could multiquote at the end....

Great bargins online but F all in the shops. Our pro shop doesnt have 1 left handed club in it lol

theres a half decent amount of lefty clubs in our pro shop. as long as you know what you want then online bargins are the way to go. suppose you then cant try before you buy!

Def some bargins out there online for lefties. Few weeks back i got cracking set of used mizzy MP57s for £120 and will force the sale of my brandnew (last summer) Nike Slingshots that i got for £99 lol

you have no sympathy from me,be gone! lol

yeah get you auction to end on sunday. im an ebay fiend and this is indeed the best time.

when you do sell try and get it to end on a Sunday night. Prime eBay time and you can always put a reserve on them to stop them from selling too cheap

Agree 100%! I used to sell a lot on eBay, and Sunday nights were best, avoid top gear etc if you are selling blokes items etc...

Also sell early in the month as people have been paid and have cash, late in the month people's budgets have dwindled! My rule of thumb is sell early and buy late as people start listing things to raise funds! And as others have said get the auction to finish on a Sunday evening.

Note to self - don't get into a bidding war on the first Sunday of the month!!

Great advice guys. Fingers crossed I get a bit of interest!!

Cheers
