After Citys dramatic last gasp win was this the best PL ever. Loads of twists and turns. Looked like City would romp it then choked big time. Fergie looked all smug as the gap grew and then bit by bit Mancini's mob eeked it back.

Not sure you could have written the script at the Etihad today but compelling viewing. Lots to play four for a lot of clubs on the last day and so it seemed to be a perfect scenario with CL and relegation still up for grabs. Can't remember a better season in terms of quality either with some seriously good goals too. Cisse's second at Chelsea is my pick.

I guess the season Newcastle blew it to United would be close but really can't think of another one quite like it

Started off looking like it would be a shoot out between the Manchester Clubs then Spuds came up on the outside before falling back before City took control then to struggle and Utd take the lead. Then Utd to lose at Wigan and conceed two late goals against Everton and finally todays drama. Great season. Shame a relegation battle didnt consist of more than two teams on the final day but the race for the top four was very good and Chelsea making it to the Champions League final as well is good for the English game. Big surprises with Swansea and Norwich playing some good football and finishing mid table after everyone had them dead certs to go down. Goal of the year for me goes to the dancing lanky robot against Man city and shock of the season is RVP staying injury free.

Best three teams this season were Man City, Everton and Newcastle and most disapointing were Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa

Got to admit I thought the opposite. Man City have set the standard all season, Man Utd have been poor at periods as have Arsenal through the season. Spurs started well but faded, Chelsea have been very average, Newcastle have had good periods throughout, Everton again started poor but got better as the season went on, Liverpool - enough said. The last 8/10 games have been very good viewing but not been overly impressed tbh. Today was fantastic, even as a closet red (old mans a Utd fan) proves that the premiership is the craziest exciting league in the world.

Shocked me today to hear that an Italian player hasn't before today won a premiership title.

I thought it started poorly, the middle was average at best, then it exploded into life over the last few months. It helps that that's exactly when Wigan turned into apparent world beaters. Strange atmosphere at the the DW today with nothing to fight for.

For me - without a shadow of a doubt - but then I'm biased.

Watched MOTD again this morning and blubbed again...happy days.

Hardly surprising that the club with the biggest pot of gold won something at last...

Had it not been for the almost standard, these days, five minutes of added time it would've been a tsunami of tears we'd have been witnessing...

Easily one of the worst in terms of quality for many a year and it's declining every year. The Man Utd squad is weak in so many positions yet still amassed a total that would have won the league every season since the PL began except for this year.

Personally I thought last years relegation battle wa a cracker, 5 teams still in it on the final day and the bottom 3 changing for minute to minute. The 2 that did go down would have both stayed up this season with the points they got.

I agree 100% with this,United have been very ordinary indeed yet were seconds from winning the title.

But it's the best league in the world you know......

PL is the most watched football league in the world...

If I am not mistaken there's got to be a good reason for that? And it ain't gonna be related to being boring...

That only proves it's the best watched league in the world not the best.

German league along with Spanish are as good if not better products....interesting that for the recent Bayern v Dortmund German Cup final 780k applied for tickets, incredible stuff but then again football is sensibly priced in Germany unlike here.

Spanish league isn't its just dominated by Barca and Madrid and to be it has for years, the German league is technically good but not as exciting as the PL, the Scottish league is poor, from what I've seen of the French/Dutch/Portugese its not a patch on the PL - in my opinion not skys. I think the way that the PL has attracted some of best players in Europe says alot.
