Best Round Ever!!

Well yesterday I just went for a knock with my dad and uncle at a short par 67 9 hole course we used to play a lot before I joined my current club.

Having not played here for a long time I didn't expect anything special, even more so as I haven't been playing very well the last couple of months, however started strong and never seemed to fade.

At the turn I totted up my stroke and score for my 21 handicap and it came out with a 4 over par 38 strokes for 27 points. Usually at this point I would collapse under the weight of a good round, however I seemed to carry the form of the front 9 onto the back 9 and finished with an 8 over par 75 with 51 points.

Very happy, just hope I can take that form into my next competition!!

Similar round to me,i played in a medal a few years back while playing off 18 and shot 8 over to win the medal and shoot a 60 on a par 70 course and hcp cut by 4 shots.

How many strokes did you actually take for the round? you mention that you toted up the strokes/score for your 21 h/cap does this mean you shot a 96?

Slab, sorry it wasn't clear. I actually took 75 strokes. So say it was a medal, with my 21 hcap it would have been a net 54. Not that it matters as it's not my home course.

Thanks Chaps, not sure if I will be able to make the Thetford day yet. I certainly hope so tho!!
