Best on course snack?

Please report back your findings, this coconut water intrigues me...Currently on a massive weight loss regime (3 and a half stone lost so far!) so anything low in calories is always good!

Bananas and nature valley oat bars, lucozade sport or powerade drinks.

mixed partner swears by Coconut water as being far better rehydrant than the above drinks, and only 18 calories. I may investigate this further.

I suggested this recently and the nae sayers had a field day. I like it and found it good in the hot weather we recently had. More potassium than a banana according to the packaging. It tasted good and I felt refreshed. Works for me though

Blimey they know how to charge for coconut water.

I normally take a high 5 zero to drink.

I have to say i am intrigued by the jaffa cake info, however i'm not sure they are actually a cake.....

Has anyone ever tried a glucose drink called "Pocari Sweat"?

Not sure you can get it in the UK as i have only ever had it in the middle and far east.

Despite is rather erm.......unique name, it is by far and a way the most refreshing drink i have had.

I am so glad that most of you can now survive your round of golf with your mid round snacks.
Let's face it, everyone is playing so slowly now, a three course meal will soon be compulsory to stop the club from being sued for neglect.

I actually recall a video by GMac where he promotes carrying snacks and does so himself.
And he doesn't carry his bag or push/pull a trolley either and would be very fit.

I know myself that I need to eat the 2 bananas to keep my energy levels up. My poor fitness levels and the extra weight I carry mean I burn a huge amount of calories in a round of golf. I hope to change that by the start of next season though but will still likely eat the 2 bananas.

A fried egg & bacon bap with a lovely cup of tea & a Castella Classic at the Halfway Hut at Puttenham GC.
Mmmmmmmmm .................... I can taste it now.

Slime.

Dark chocolate Hob Nobs... And they have the added benefit of making Scouser hurl when he sees them. The downside is that when Karl102 filches em out of the bag, he leaves a trail of crumbs that I'm still cleaning out of the bag 3 months later!!!

They are a cake as ruled in a famous tax case. The difference between a cake and a biscuit in law is that biscuits go soft when stale and cakes go hard. Under that definition a Jaffa cake is a cake.

As for snacks, there are 3 things in my bag, dried mango, jelly beans from the real jelly bean company and Marlboro lights.
