Just got back from the range, a bloke next to me was hitting one of the Nike SQ drivers, all I can say is WOW about the noise it was making, it made my Wilson Staff Dd6 sound like a putter.

Got me thinking, what is the best noise in golf? Clean struck iron? Booming drive? Over to you folks…….

The best noise I've heard on a course was last July while playing our par 3, 3rd hole. The noise was my ball kissing the stick as it went in for a hole in 1. Lovely sound.

Shame it dosen't happen to often.

My playing partner has new cobra also noisey, down at the range I get as far away from him as pos.I think because the tees are part enclosed it amplifies the noise,it`s not half as bad out on the open course, and only using it once every 5 mins.helps.

My (yes it is now mine!) mizuno MP 600 driver makes a refined metallic thwack which I like, the only other driver I liked the sound off was the biggest big bertha driver I used to own, it was a thoroughbred crack which has yet to be equalled in my honest opinion.

I was a kid and earnt extra cash by finding lost balls in the woods on a v nice course in Kent. One of the T's was elevated, surrounded by woodland, we used to hide in the woods as the players T'd off, I remember to this day the THUNDEROUS noise of a good drive, if only....

My mate bought a Cobra driver (not sure which model) last year and it sounds like someone hitting the ball with a catering sized tin of beans...horrible!!! My Nike Sumo sounds glorious on the rare occasion I middle it!!!

Best noise in Golf is the

"what you having sir?" in the bar afterwards!

My FTI makes a hell of a noise, as was mentioned when i got it i should have got some ear defenders with it. I love the sound of the ft5 off the tee. Best sound though i think is the ball off the putter face followed by that sound of the ball dropping into the cup.
