I need to replace my VW soon so I've been looking around too it's a diesel with 200k on the clock.

Fancy a Skoda Superb hatchback or estate and will probably go petrol next time.

Not automatic/ DSG because they cost a small fortune when they go wrong, fine if leased or PCP but a private purchase I would personally stay clear of those.

Where are they? You'd be lucky to get a 5 series for under 6 grand that hasn't done 100k miles

Bang on - and tonnes of space for 3-4 sets of clubs also.
