Has anyone taken the Benross driver challenge? Basically it's take your driver and see how it performs against the Benross drivers.

I recently went to Poult Wood in Kent to try the Benross HTX drivers against my Ping K15 driver which has a shorter shaft.

I tried the HTX first and this didn't perform any better than my Ping driver , the HTX produced to much spin for me and the dispersion was slightly worse.

Then I tried the HTX type R and this performed much better than my Ping, the numbers said carry distance was averaging at 220 and most of the drives I was hitting it into the trees at the end of the range at 250, which is good for me as I'm not a long hitter.

Ive been using this driver for about a month now and at first I was having issues with slicing the ball which I think is down to the longer shaft, I intend to take both drivers out on the course on a quiet evening to compare them. I do like using the shorter shaft and I've a feeling the Benross will come out longer but not as consistent as my shorter shafted Ping driver.

I've a Benross Hot Speed 2 driver which I've had for over year now. A very nice club.

Yes they are good quality clubs, mine has a Mitsubishi Rayon shaft and Golf Pride grip.

I watched a Rick Sheils video where he compared the Benross HTX type R with the Taylormade M1 and the Nike Vapour Fly Pro, I thought the Benross compared well against the other two.

Benross carry distance 275
Taylormade M1 292
Nike Vapor. 280

The Benross also came out with less spin than the Nike.

For just about half the price of the other more popular brands (£179 ) they are very good value.
