Would the security guards cam not be about filming events / fights etc in case they went to court? A bit like the ones some police officers have now. I agree with GB72 comments about what footage should be used for. Any other use should be covered, no idea if it is, by GDPR.

The bigger question is why he got himself into that position. Wise up idiot.

I suppose the wearing of a camera is far better than the jabbing of a walkie talkie aerial in your face...

Justice, celebrities seem to get a squeeze, whereas joe blogs would be looking at stir or CS. I think it should be the other way around, if your a figurehead then you should feel the strength of the law more, but then I’d be happy just with a level playing field.

I actually think this one was nearly spot on, celebrity or not. The original incident was just stupid, drunk in a pub, saw the camera on the bouncer and grabbed for it (guess he did not want filming due to previous tabloid issues). Gets out of hand (something over nothing). The Larceny was leaving with a glass, hence charge dropped, and the assaulting a police officer was, again, stupid but from what I hear no more than grabbing her collar. The incident was idiocy of the highest order but by the letter of the law, the punishment fitted the crime in this case. This was minor even by the standards of a normal Saturday night. Could even say that this would have been dealt with by a night in the cells and a slap on the wrist if he was not famous. Long term damage to his England career is going to be the real punishment.
