Being Hit by a Golf Ball

In view of all foregoing answers, can I therefore be the first (but hopefully not last) to post that, yes, I have been hit - by my own shot!

Hindsight says the shot to get out of the woods was way too ambitious (and badly executed); ball hits tree & comes back and me not quick enough to jump out of way. Me get crack on shin, and remainder of party collapse with mirth. Oh how they laughed. Me not amused...

Only ever been lightly clipped on the elbow from 30 yards. I'm quite lucky, but ill probably get nailed next time.
