Any advise would be great & is there any clubs a beginner can join round my way?
Thanks Jay.

Go and enjoy it is the best advice. Other than that get rid of your TM gear and swap it for Ping!

Welcome

Glove Mizuno Bioflex is a decent low price glove

Golf balls Bridgestone E5 or Srixon AD333 would be a good ball to start with

Spend alot of time putting and chipping practice

You have a very nice driving range in Aintree too

Happy with taylormade at mo! Can't afford ping anyway;). Will try the balls, got given some dunlops don't think that person likes me. Ha. Ye good range at aintree, liverpool driving range closer in childwall anybody know others round liverpool way?
Thanks Jay.

if you over 40

You can't go wrong with srixon ad333 or srixon soft for balls. Srixon Cabrera leather gloves are also a good buy but I pay a little more and get footjoy weathersof gtx. Washable and last longer.

Get yourself round a sports direct shop, Srixon gloves are a fiver in there, just as good as their £15 equivalents.oh and don't buy a "pair" just buy one, for your left hand if your are right handed. not a bad selection of reasonable priced clothes aswell.
Go and enjoy yourself mate, I have a mate who has just got into golf at 34, he is now a bit addicted!! Lol

Jay there are a few of us scouters on here, most of them are playing formby today and royal Liverpool tomorrow

As suggested sports direct is a good place to start for your clothing etc, not necessarily the same for clubs , they are usually cheap for a reason, you would be better getting second hand clubs

If your in childwall then allerton is down the road try a few rounds on the nine hole course, they also have two clubs there if you do enjoy the game

My advice would be to go and have a couple of lessons from the start to get your grip/stance etc correct from the off. Then just playplayplay!

All ready had the lessons that's why itching to get out & play. Then can play play. Ha. Enjoying the lessons finding out about my bad habits & trying to get rid if them. I have a lot!!

Welcome to the game! Bridgestone E5s are great balls for the money. Gloves. All good suggestions above. Personally like footjoy, and tend to keep checking online for multi buy offers. Saves a few quid. Most important, have some fun!

go to cosco, cheap balls and gloves, bowring parks not to far away but you need a 6 pack of stella and jeans and a footy top to play there LOL

i played bowring park a few weeks in ago on a glorious sunny morn. it was a nice wee course and i didnt see any of the stella crew. ill definitly be back. couple of lovely wee holes.

met a sound wee man called dave who was selling golf balls.
