beat my personal best and sunk my first ever birdie!!

shot a 101 this evening beating my PB of 107,

and sunk my first ever birdie on a 266yd par 4 first shot was my best drive of the last few weeks gentle fade 220ish yards landed just of the fairway to the left leaving me a wedge shot to the green

so 2nd shot i used my 56* wedge and relaxed struck it clean and strait, the ball landed on front of the green and rolled and rolled it looked close to where i ht it from but as i got closer the ball stoped 3" short of an eagle!! but left an easy but nervious tap in to sink my first birdie,

so im on a high tonight, cant wait for friday and my first competitive round with the new club im joining!

i am liking the vr full cavitys they forcing me to slow down and keep my tempo, and swing within the club not force the ball, if i lapse and try to kill the ball i dont get very far at all lol

I totally agree with you regarding the VRs,I can't seem to hit any shot that doesn't go dead straight! Have u seen the older Nike SV Tour wedges? Really nice feel and they go for crazy money on ebay,I love my 50 deg gap.

Well done Mate.
I am around 20 rounds into my "golf career" and still that first birdie eludes me. Came close a few times including a 30 footer to within a foot yesterday.

Well done mate.I am a 25 hcapper and not been playing golf too long...I remember my 1st birdie..a 30 foot putt at the par 3 18th at my 1st club...what a feeling....took me 4 months to get another one....I am in double figures now..lol..

Gone and done 2 in my last 2 games....like you just missed out on my 1st EAGLE at my clubs par 4 1st hole by 3"...easy birdie!

Today at the 400 yard par 4 8th my 3rd shot downhill 70 yards from the pin(lob wedge ) on a 2 tiered green.....nailed it!..with a bit of luck obviously

Was on such a high after that you can guess what happened on the next tee!..smashed my drive into the trees...lol

hope i dont have to wait 4 months for another birdie, im bricking it for friday with the members of the club im joining i just hope i put in a semi decent performance and a birdie will sit nicely! lol
