Haven't had much interest in recent offers of a game at BL, but here goes again. This Friday (10th August) at 10.50.

Like many other courses, there has been some course maintenance recently, and the greens are still recovering, but aren't bad and there is a reduced guest fee of £25. Sausage sandwich (or Bakewell tart if you are so inclined) at the halfway hut on me.

Ethan,

I would love to but sadly cannot as I already have a day off on Thursday this week to play at Piltdown GC in East Sussex. An excellent course and club by the way....

When you are looking for a player next time then please count me in as I would be delighted to play Bearwood again.

Regards,

Snelly.

Would have loved to Ethan (as always) but i need to pack for holidays on friday afternoon for an earlystart on Sat
Glad others will get to see the wonder of Wokingham :)

cheers for the chance to play Bearwood today Martin, it's a cracking course, it would be nice to play it when the greens are up to speed (or maybe not!!)

The company was excellent, thanks also Anthony (sorry no smileys)

If anyone gets the chance to play the course, jump at it, it's a treat.

Many thanks for the invitation Martin, I like the changes they have made since I played there last. Some of the other ideas they have also sound interesting, especially the pond on the 18th.

With Nick making up the 3 ball, we had a very enjoyable round. Before anyone asks, we did not keep scores.

Shame you were not able to make it Ian.

Nice day for it! I hope the greens were better than they were on Sunday - but only to be expected after a major hollow coring last week

Nick - I can't reply to my messages - but loking forward to seeing you on BH Monday - the greens should be realy good by then. Send me an eamil to pnsarum@yahoo.co.uk so I have your details. Cheers, Paul

They were a bit wooly and therefore quite a bit slower than the other times I have played the course, but at least the ball ran true. They were also nice and soft (receptive) to well struck approach shots :)
