Hi,

in easy to understand terms ,(I ain't that clever), what is the diff between 2 and 3 piece balls ? Please don't tell me that one has a extra piece...

What is the diff? does it make any diff?

Each layer enables the designer to engineer more features into it. Basically, a two piece can only do two things, the core can do distance, the skin can do spin. But with 3, or 4 layers, the designer can go for many more options. An inner core for distance off the driver, another core, for solid iron play, a layer for feel, and a layer for spin. The more layers, the more the designer can play with it. The more you crush it, the more layers come into play.
