Back to square one

Hi guys thanks for the support most appreciated. Deke have put Bob Rotella on the Xmas list so we'll see. TonyN and PJ I am currently blending reading practice and lessons. The reading is helping me have informed conversations with my pro about what's going wrong but I need to have someone telling me if I'm executing it right, then remember how that felt and strive to replicate.

I think the trouble is I have so many thoughts going through my mind that my preshot routine is hampered by thoughts of wind, slope, lie, club selection, alignment, posture, address, weight distribution, left arm straight on back swing, don't over hinge, tempo, push hips first on down swing, weight transfer, whip wrists through impact, dont look up too early, take shallow divot after striking the ball, club pointing at target, follow through, finishing position.

Having now written all this I'm taking homers advice. Just going to relax and enjoy playing for the next two weeks and see what happens.

But thanks again for all your comments and support. I'll keep you posted as always.

Tiger, most of the people in here have already stated that it will come together, it just takes time.

I am with Murph on this one though, one swing thought will help no end. I have already taken into account, loft, lie, yardage, wind, etc... before I have a club in my hand. Once the club is in hand, it's just a thought of swing easy, trust your judgement.

Good luck with the progress, it takes hard work but when it all comes together on the day, there aren't many better feelings.
