Got the go-ahead from chiropractor yesterday to try 9 holes and I didn't need much persuading. TBH the neck was so painful for a while I couldn't have faced playing, but her ladyship and I are agreed it wasn't caused by golf, more likely too much time on computer not to mention wear and tear (polite word for old age, I reckon).
Now back at work (though restricted in use of PC) and more importantly played 9 this morning. Pretty awful golf as was tentative at first and had a mental blank on how to play the game. Chipping not too bad and was starting to hit a few decent shots by the end. Stiff but no bad ill-effects so far.
Will try 9 more in a couple of days and tell myself this is progress. Not even thinking of defending my new handicap of 20. Just pleased to be out in this weather.

And oh, yes, read that thread on ladies and GPS. Have never used it myself because as a mere woman I obviously never stray off the fairway ;)
Could say a lot more, but actually life is too short.

Good luck to those of you in comps.

Welcome back - you've been sorely missed. Hope the neck isn't too bad after your foray onto the course and that MRB has been looking after you. Take it easy and don't rush back but enjoy the holes you do play.
