Avril,he's gone.Thank God.

Dissapointed with Levien, when he was appointed I thought it was a good decision.

I had a funny feeling about Terry Butcher doing the job the other day.
Not Strachan or Rednapp PLEASE, both are well out of their depth.
Joe Jordan may be another thought.

Well you would clearly fit in well with the useless people at the SFA. Crazy uninspired mindless cheap choice. Picking a manager with no experience and no track record at all.

Stupid appointment, I said it at the time and sadly I was proved correct.

I think we need a coach, not a manager, for that alone I would like to see Billy Davies at the helm.

Disagree Foxholer.
For once we have quite a few quality young players coming through, just need someone to gell them.
And again, seconded, the squad is the best this century, but picking no marks like Hutton, Black and Kenny Misser, while ommitting form players like Rhodes, is why Levein had to go, and why there is plenty of scope for much better results.

His fallout of Fletcher was just embarrassing

Stark in charge of Luxembourg game.Get yer hoose on a home win.

Avril released to concentrate on his real vocation.

Strachan is probably one of the favourite along with (god forbid) McLeish and Smith who can both do one.

I would happily take Strachan, he did well at Celic whilst dismattling MON's high wage earners and seemed to have players peforming for him with a bit of passion (Hartley and Robson spring to mind).

Other than that you really have to look at foriegners, come to think of it, yon Pep boy is idle is he not

The way the SFA has handled this whole affair is shameful. Why did it take so bloody long to punt him?

I think he may end up being moved to another role possibly.

No surprise that it's another huge balls up from the idiots in charge.

I am fully expecting another yes man with as much life as the one we have just got rid off.

Edited to say : Gordon Smith just been on saying he's surprised Avril didn't do well as he was the stick out candidate!!

Is it any wonder we are in freefall in World Rankings with dicks like him involved in decision making.

Di Canio is 2 steps short of Psychopath, it won't happen. If Swindon is buckling him. Imagine what the pressure of the Scotland job would do to him

Agree the Scots being lined up don't inspire, they've got to find an outgoing, bullish, confident character that can inspire a team to perform beyond the sum of its parts. Someone that'll roll the dice and take a chance and at least play some forwards!

Great news.
I personally dont see what Strachan has to offer, if he was that good would he have been out of a job for 2 years.
Back-to back qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League – a feat not achieved by Strachan's predecessor, Martin O'Neill, despite the Irishman being afforded lavish sums to spend on players – and three league titles – not seen since the heady days of Jock Stein. Strachan is the most succesful Celtic manager in a Generation.

Failed thereafter though
