I was trying to put my own avatar up . i croped the photo to the 80x80 or 80x60 what ever it is .. then got photo cant be more than a 1000 bytes or something .. does this make scence to any1 & how do i sort this .. in plain english if ya can please ..

sorry brendy double dutch to me ha ha ,it a photo i got taken with paul mcginley, just had it on the camera & downloaded it to comp & croped it down ..after that im in d dark mate??

Open the folder that contains the picture, point the cursor at the photo and it will show you the file size, if it's bigger than the maximum you will have to open the photo and re-size it with whichever photo suite you use.

Think you have to then save it online somewhere, say at photobucket and then link to the photo there HTH
