I have to say this thread seems to prove to myself at least why a little technology can be a bad thing. I had a play with the R11 at the TM demo day with their technician making a few adjustments based on the way I was hitting initially. Base plate we left alone in what I figure was a neutral position and we tweaked the face open a bit. I have to say I still don't like the feel off the clubface and haven't done since trying it but hoped a proper TM session would change that.

I did think the very good ones were longer than my standard Burner but to be honest the off centre ones didn't feel as forgiving as off centre with either a Superfast Burner or my own. That said I applaud the technology and once someone gets a fitting for their swing preference it would be a decent weapon but not my club of choice

I tell you right know mate the weights weren't changed there was no loft adjustment just the sole plate moved it was 8 weeks ago and i can still remember that ya knob ,what they put in the mag was not exactely correct but the feckin distances were.

Did you get yours fitted or was it staright of the rack as you seem to be an expert on this?

oh and the spin rates were exactely the same.

Oh, right. So the magazine are talking bollox as well are they? Seems to be a pattern here LOL. Funny how you wrote this in another R11 thread...

I gained 30 yards by adjusting the soleplate and moving the weights about from the nuetral settings giving me 235 carry and 260 total into the wind and using range balls on Trackman at Taylor Made.
Dont think they cranked the settings up either as Paul McGinley was using as well,so it can be done.

Thinking back the weights weren't moved on the day neither was the shaft only the faceplate, but your the expert so I must be takin crap so what do I know eh .
As your the expert were you custom fitted or have you forgot to answer that question

Well against my better judgement I moved the shaft adjustment back to neutral and swapped the weights to favour a more neutral shot shape as it's set for a draw as standard............ Wow!

Won't quote stats ad people will think its tosh, but 2 of the par 5's I played today I hit in two, one is 526 yards off the tees used so now one happy chappy. Best is I think the club still has more to give
