How good did tiger look hitting fairways?

If he carries on hitting his driver like that (I think he had it shortend anyone else notice that) and he will win everything he enters this year

I was also shocked at how everyone else collapsed when he started going forward not seen that for a year or so - like taking candy from a baby

Aha - I noticed that and wondered if it was just me. I know he went from 45 to 43.5 a couple of years ago but it looked shorter again.

I stand over the fact that most amateurs have drivers that are wayyyy too long.

His driving was very good I agree, it was his performance around & on the greens that impressed me the most.

He looked like the Tiger of old on the greens again holing out from all over the place!

As it stands now, I cant see anyone challenging him at Bethpage.

I really enjoyed watching him and the others play over the weekend. Tiger was also a gentleman over the course of the weekend and that was good to see.

It's interesting to see a different young challenger emerge in a few tournaments so far this season just so as Tiger can up his game and put pressure on them when it matters... they can't handle it, he wins.

The course looked amazing as well and with a lot of interesting features. So much better than a few that i've seen from the US tour in the last month or so.

Tiger to win the US open for me, although i have a suspicion that we might see another relatively unkown golfer pushing him all the way as there seems to be a lot of new emerging talent out there.

He has also changed his loft apparently on the driver to 10deg, although he was hitting more 3 woods off the tee than driver.

His last 2 approach shots were just fantastic and it was his best driving performance for years, always thought if he keeps it in play he will be hard to beat.

Got the impression he was practising for Bethpage at the same time as well

Wow, just read he hit 14 out of 14 greens!

I've been thinking about signing up to Setanta so I can see golf from across the pond, but maybe Sky will pick up some coverage if Setanta go belly up?

Re: As no one else has mentioned it !!!!!!!!! Come on TIGER!!!!!!!!!!

He did look a lot more in control of his swing yesterday and it seemed like the controlled powerful agression of old. His putting touch has never been in question and he was making all the putts too. If he plays off the short stuff regularly he'll be hard to beat again

His putting touch has never been in question

You are having a laugh I presume?

His putting at the Accenture Matchplay was shocking to say the least by his standards.

It also wasn't much better at the Arnie Invitational which he won, just his play from tee to green was superb. The Masters wasnt great either to be fair!

His putting over the last 4 days has been the Tiger of old.
