Arsenal

Lots in the sports press about him going out and splashing the cash a bit this summer. Not sure who is going to attract though as Wenger's forte has always to get young players from abroad and relatively unknown or unproven on the bigger stage and bring them on.

Just shows the mess that football is in that a club the size of arsenal has to celebrate finishing fourth and deems it a successful season.

Wenger splashing cash is a bit worrying, he needs to start challenging to win the European cup and league.

He can't keep relying on finding a young henry or viera, they need top quality players who can win games single handedly.

He really does have the money to spend this transfer window, so it'll be interesting to see if he spends it.

He has had to go looking in the bargain bin for quite a while as there really hasn't been any money in the pot. He hasn't helped the situation by over paying some of the bit part players, but then he has tried to keep a squad together, so he doesn't have to buy many players in. Clearly this is flawed, if your best players leave every year.

Ok, the players are celebrating fourth. So what. They are in the champions league, not the Thursday night club. I'd be celebrating if I was them too.

It's like qualifying to play in the open. You might have no chance of winning it, but even the likes of Dodger would still be celebrating qualifying.
