YES!!!!!!:whoo:

We did it and I'm so pleased for Wenger. He had a kicking this season (unjustifiably in my opinion) and its great for football that he clinched another CL spot. I've found myself defending Wenger most of the year from moronic Arsenal supporters who dont know how good they have it.

Yes we havent won a pot for 8 years but I'm sure the drought will end next year.

Spurs were unlucky not qualifying with 72 pts and if they can keep hold of Bale they'll do well next season.

96 minutes of the least comfortable football match I think I've ever watched, but we're there!

Felt encouraged by what Gary/Phil Neville said at the end of the match, Wenger's comments last night about "Champions League qualification is vital" to bring top players to Arsenal, hopefully now the Arsenal debt is to a minimum he can start paying for players with notes instead of coins!

Superb manager. Makings of a decent side but the board need to back him by showing some ambition. Well that's only my opinion.

Yeah but a 4th spot that was achieved, not "bought" with someone elses money.

Everyone "buys it" in some way, you've got the biggest wage bill in history and still currently but we've covered that, good balance sheet but an empty cabinet :ears:

Your 10-15 points shy of going any higher, doesn't sound much but its a lot and Arsenal are not consistent enough to bridge that gap.

We won back-to-back with over 90+ points, over the last decade you need around 85 plus to be 2nd or push for top spot currently, unless Jose comes back then you'll all need high 80's again ;)

You finished 5 points less than last year, is that an achievement?

It is an achievement, yes. If Chelsea sold their best players every season, would they do any better?

I think we lost our best player in Drogba and still managed success. Ad to that, we've never really replaced Makelle with anything like his quality.

Wenger goes on about fatigue and yet has the biggest overall squad in the Premiership and we played 12 more games than any other premiership club, that's an achievement!

The whole club [particularly the boardroom] needs to up its ambition levels...

Winning clubs tend to have a couple of stand out players in their team...
Sadly, the current Arsenal 'squad' has no players that meet this criteria [yet]...

I think whilst you fill your stadium and the balance sheet looks favourable due to that, they might be happy just to be where they are! I don't think, but I may be wrong, that Wenger pushes the board enough. I think you could shelve so many wages from the lower end of the squad that are still on silly money, even trainee's and then you'd have the money for some big signings without going into the red as such.

The fans must be restless, I know the ones I know, who are real die hards are.

Two very good quotes here ..Good Club , Good Manager Good team , but there are loads of "good teams" .. time to set up their stall now , top 4 team or a team challenging for the title .. I think this transfer window will speak volumes of Arsenals & Arsens intentions for the future

I'm a Man U fan but Im delighted that Arsenal made the CL place - Wenger's had a kicking this year but hes' proved what a great manager he is. You play some good football too but its about time your board freed up some cash for some quality signings then you'd be title contenders not top four.

Not sure about that, the diehards I know who have been going for 20 yrs+ arent at all, they accept there is no right to win something every year (albeit they do feel they are being overcharged). Now the johnny come latelies who havent been through the bad times pre GG (or a lot of his reign) however.....

Nope we're still behind the manager he's kept us up at the top end of league for last 7 years while the stadium debts were being paid off and now we will see signings that will have us challenging for the title again .

I think you will see a massive change this year Arsenal have had a lot of financial restrictions over the last few years and what Arsene has achieved is nothing short of remarkable to keep Arsenal in the champions league with a net spend of nine mil over the last ten years will never get the recognition it deserves

The massive puma deal will give Arsene the freedom to sign his first choice players

St totteringhams day is late this year expect an earlier one next season

I'm a marginal follower of Arsenal having been to more of their games (4) than to the team I nominally follow (West Ham - 0) - being a foreigner gives me the right to be somewhat peculiar that way! I support all English teams in Europe (not Scottish for some reason).

I believe Arsenal have the better credentials for Champions League than Tottenham - who would likely get swamped by any team that can nullify Bale - though that's no easy task! I think - and hope - they'll do well in Europa League - Chelsea seemed to!

I think it'll take several years before Arsenal can spend big on players. They still have a huge (mainly stadium) debt and they've got a pretty high wage bill. Until Wenger retires or gets some sort of incentive to win more, I think he's 'happy' to reach the relatively low target of continued Champions League participation - and overall profit for the club. I believe the biggest unknown is whether Usmanov is happy with the current situation and what he'll do if he isn't/becomes unhappy. The club is making a profit, and it has only made a loss in 1 year in the last many (and that was 'small'). I don't think he's of the Abramovich mould though as there were other clubs to take that approach with.
