Always struggled with this question, but do find it odd when people ask it!

When I boxed people would often ask the same; and equally I thought it was a strange thing to ask. My stock response was always "I've won more than I've lost!" Can't say the same about my golf game, though!

All this "handicap related to how good you are" is rubbish, all that really matters is who is longest off the tee, this is a golf forum.

If you play off single figures you are a very good club golfer imo.
I played today (off 18) shot 34pts and was pretty happy with how I played.
But in reality that isn't very good.

In my opinion, half decent golfers have a handicap of 18 or less, decent golfers have single figure handicaps, and very good golfers are scratch or better. Tour pros come from another planet though!
