My son and I took on the champions at Blackmoor today, their "home" course, and managed to beat them. Although, I suspect there may be some comments from the old boys about it being played over 23 holes.
Many thanks to Richard & Rob for a great match and Calvin for showing us all how to hit a ball miles
Why did we play 23 holes? Well we started off on the 10th as it was ladies morning. The idea being that we would get round to 18 before them. Well, the plan failed, mainly due to 3 elderley gentlemen playing very slowly in front of us. We ended up having a 5 hole warm up as the first ladies group caught us up. We headed back to the clubhouse to start again from the 1st tee. This was not before the ladies captain had a few words with the Blackmoor member in our group.
