I see a lot of people rave about them on here,do they really make you hole more putts could'nt pay all that for one myself.

p s i can't putt!!

If they get the ball in the hole more often than not then they're worth every penny.
If a Scotty isn't right for you it ain't worth a dime.....

Flat piece of metal on the end of a stick. If your putting stroke is no good it doesnt really matter imo.

Never found a Scotty design that has really excited me and made me think I could putt well with it. To be honest there haven't been many designs in the last few years of any make that have doen that which is probably why I am still using my original Anser 2 from the 80's. The only one that has come close is the new Odyssey Protype #9 and at £200 I'm not prepared to pay that

No Scottys are not all that, people buy them cos they think the Scotty will buy them a putt and as we know it doesent work like that ;) .

To an extent, they may buy you a bit of confidence for a short time but that's it. It's never the arrow that's wrong, it's the Indian behind it.

I did have a go last week with 4 scotty models in the new black finish and can honestly say only 1 felt good allthough they all looked the business.

Its all about engineering and quality

You could say Aston Martin vs Escort Van both able to achieve the same result but which one has quality from every nut and bolt

At the end of the day, all you do is move it away from the hole a bit and then move it back towards the hole a bit.

That is one crap putting stroke Bob

I have a couple of them. Nice putters and they are not that expensive you can get one new if you shop around, my local pro sells them new for £175. Most on here would happily spend £200 + on a driver but bulk at something you use on every hole for less.

True it won't make you a better putter, but if you can already put a bit no problem.

I like mine cos we have big greens at my home course and its nice to have a firmer faced milled putter from long range and off the green too.

I strongly disagree!

Scotties are no better engineered nor higher higher quality than Oddyssey, Ping (a true trailblazer), TM, Nike or any other of the big names imo. If you want quality, there's several niche Putter companies that are better and many are also much better value.

Scotty made his name as a Marketer, pure and simple, and he is the best in the (putter) business at it. But as for 'best' - nah! All that said, putting is all about confidence, so if you think it's best for you, then it is!

So Scotties are like Fords to me.

Patricks
Just a couple of quick points
I bet your Pro doesnt Love Camerons.......If hes selling New at £175 then hes barely making a Tenner......
And this years Black models will Cost HIM , MORE than that figure just to Buy in.......getting much more expensive this black range, mate
Lastly, I find it ODD, that u find Scottys to be FIRM off the face, I find them SOFT( ish ) and so do most others I know......... by that I Dont mean Insert Soft feeling, just NOT firm

I have a Scotty

Does it make me a better putter I.E Holing everything from anywhere...... No

Does it make me a more confident putter...... Yes
