Are preferred lies still on at your course?

Yes. Til end of April is usual. They come off for the spring meeting. 36 hole stroke play. Joy of joys. This will be my first comp of the year. Can't wait. Seriously. Really. Genuinely. Bring it on. Oh yeh.

Ours are extended untill the end of April

The standard allowable period lasts until the end of April, anything beyond that has to have approval from the county union.

Usually off by now but still on. Ours included first cut of rough but just on fairways now.

No, we "lose" preferred lies on 1st April.

However, having played today with massive lumps of mud all over the balls, I do think it should make a return sometimes....

Still on at ours until end of the month, fairways are good at the moment but greens are really good, especially for this time of year.

Ours ended on Sunday. (As in there were no preferred lies on Sunday)

I think it must have been the first proper comp of the year as I played saturday then I played Sunday and they'd replaced all the hole inserts with shiny new white ones. They just need to replace the flags and cut some of the fairways shorter now!

we have as 3 of the firways are staked off until the curtis cup in June for general play. However next weekend is the first silver medal and we will be off PL for that I think.

Yep still on at our place , not sure why tho because the fairways are firm enough , decent bit of run on the ball , we have a good greenkeeper & staff so anyone complaining would be bit unfair ..

I tend not to take the preferred lie unless its dirty or a bad lie as it will change soon
