Played Arbroath yesterday afternoon whilst up here on holiday. Compared to the other courses in the area the green fee of £50 is a bargain. Hidden gem gets banded around quite a bit but it fits the bill with Arbroath.

Note to self though , dont play golf in 40mph winds wearing a hoody.

We played here, Montrose and Forfar on our "Scottish 2nd division" tour a few years back. Arbroath was very popular, it's a good inexpensive day out between a couple of dearer ones. Could also be done from Dundee of course.

We did a weekend there maybe 7 years ago now, stayed at the Premier Inn just down the road, and played the Saturday and Sunday. Really nice course, no complaints out of the 16 of us that were there. Was windy both days as you would expect and great value compared to some of the other courses in the area.
