anything unique about your course

Whilst in the Navy I played what is believed to be the world's remotest golf course on St Helena. A 9 holer that's up in the clouds, played better courses but the views were amazing. The only way to get there as a civilian is to take a 2 week boat trip from Capetown.

The majority of our bunkers dont contain any sand

That's coz we've got it all!! nearing 3-4 inches.
Fragger can't count - we've got 6 and they've all got so much sand in them that it's like walking on the beach - you really could hide a Camel in them.

A howling gale that manages to blow into or across every hole in the course, but dies to nothing when it should be helping. I can't figure out how we get back to the clubhouse we start from cos we're clearly not circling.

Unless there's two identical ones either end?

:)

we have a hole that is a par 4, dog leg right only about 280ish yards, wouldnt need a driver to cut the corner onto the green, how ever there is a local rule in place that says "no direct shots to the green"

we have a lot of Red Kites nesting on and around eh course -counted 30 of them swooping above and down to our 15th green this year on one Friday

I bet it's not unusual for people to "push it a bit" on that hole :D what a stupid rule, how on earth could that be enforced?
