before xmas I bought a waterproof jacket from my pro cant remember model. already got a GG but wanted another to mix it up a bit. so wore it 4 or 5 times in light rain and everything fine although the Velcro wrists bit is easily pulled off when putting my bag over my shoulders.
a couple of weeks ago I got caught in constant rain for the round. all fine until I tried to open the pocket where my lucky ball marker and pitch mark repairer were. well the zip has broken shut!!!
its sold as a waterproof jacket but the first sign of rain the zip breaks but gutted. so anyway the pro is dealing with it and I await the outcome.
but just wondering if anyone else has had this.

from a price point of view I cud have 3 of these to my 1 GG. and too be honest I can see that there is a BIG difference on quality of material and there thoughts in designing it. infact the zips are the worst part of the design. so anyone else wwear stuburt waterproofs

My Mrs bought me a set the xmas before last and I think they are great to be honest. Mine seem pretty well made, only minor problem I had was needing to replace one of the velcro patches at the bottom of the leg, no great inconvenience as I had some in the house.
Pockets on mine seem fine and don't leak (and nice and fleecy too) and I particularly like the neoprene cuffs on the jacket. Oh, and zip off sleeves too, ideal for warmish weather showers.

Don't know if you have been unlucky with quality or I've been lucky

I think they are decent for the price, and it wasn't till the zip went that I compared them to my GG. but for the money and a two year waterproof guarantee they will be fine.
I suspect a bit of material is caught in the zip, and it will be down to the level of service I receive from my pro and stuburt before I give a full evaluation

I had a pair of Stuburt Helium Tour (I think) golf shoes that I won a few years back and they were excellent. Very comfortable, good quality and decent fit.

Seen them in the "sale" section at Silvermere. Wasn't convinced they looked that durable or capable of keeping real bad rain out. Maybe there was some sub-conscious bias as I always thought of Sturbart as "budget". Will be interesting to see how the customer service issue plays out

Oh Sturbart? yeah, they're rubbish. Stuburt on the other hand are pretty good :D

they handled well in heavy rain and kept me dry, hopefully the zip thing is an easy fix (plus my lucky ball marker is in the pocket)

I sincerely hope you get it back soon after that 3 putt on the 4th!!!!!

I have a stuburt half zip jacket and its been great for keeping my dry last year. Only problem I have is the cuffs are a little to tight around my fore arms when swinging.

I have the stuburt sport jacket which I bought the start of this year as I needed a new light weight jacket for the golf. It does the job well, has the zip of half sleeves, waterproof zips and fleece lined pockets.

I was caught in an almight shower the other week there and the jacket was fine. I did get a little wet down my back but that is my fault cause I hate zipping a jacket right up tight around my neck. So the water ran off my hat and down my neck :(

Planning on buying a pair of there waterproof trousers as well

Mike

I have a Stuburt rain jacket - bought this as it is long and being fairly tall found others were riding up a lot when playing shots & letting the wet in as a result.

I have found it to be excellent. Considering some of the weather recently I have to say I am very pleased as I am always 100% dry under the jacket even if the rest of me is soaked to the skin
