Anyone used the odyssey white hot XG #7?

Always been a traditionalist and had about 4 putters all my life- currently the new Scotty Cameron Newport, but putting is the weakest part of my game.
Tried the #7 while passing thu a pro shop the other day and it felt very comfortable, easy to line up and solid feel.

Anyone used one? Pro's and con's?

I think theres a lad on tour called Luke Donald who uses one. Not sure if he's had any success though!!

YESSSSS! me and I will never change it, I love it to bits it is super easy to align great for pace control and super smooth in the stroke. In short demo one I'm sure you will be impressed.

Bob, is christmas & cold weather fast approaching as you are seriously promoting that wonder gadget of yours ;)

I tried a no7 when I got my 2 ball, was v nice but ended up with the 2 ball belly, which is about to be sold on ebay with not long remaining if anyones interested :D

Bet his didn't cost £73 at Nevada Bobs! His will be tour specific one though I'd imagine, seems there's a couple of different versions out there.

Assuming you mean XG I have one but got it shortened from 34" to 32" and play much better with it than I did. Not a competent enough putter to comment on the pros and cons. When it's off (well me but as a bad workman I blame my tools) I switch to the lighter MD Tralee.

Yep Ive got one as well. Very nice to use and easly to line up. The weighting seems spot on. My only issue with it is that I sometimes underhit putts as the insert is very soft.

Had a go with one and was quite impressed with ease of lining up, felt iffy on long putts (xg version) stuck with my number 9 style.

Luuuke uses the White Hot Tour version which has a firmer insert than the XG. Has a Bronzy/gold finish to it as well. I had the No.5 White Hot Tour and I can confirm that the insert is much firmer than the XG, nearer to my RedX...

I have indeed got one. I was fitted for it at AG courtesy of Golf Monthly, and it's responsible for most of my handicap drop this year.

Not necessarily because it's an awesome putter, but it just suits me.

It lines up very easily and even though it looks like something from Star Trek it's surprisingly 'bladey' to look at as all the lines are perpendicular to each other rather than lots of curves like a traditional mallet.

I also like the fact that it has a very soft insert as it means you can give it a bit more of a rap and 'feel' the distance well.

I like firmer, whats Henrik Stenson using at the Disney tournament just now, looks like a #7 but hopefully a firmer insert one

Just got a white ice putter and played with it today.

Much firmer feel than any insert, particularly odyssey, that i've used.

Really liked it, helped me win first time out so sticking around i think :)

Personally I could never get on with the inserts and it wasn't for lack of trying. I loved the look of the two-ball and really wanted to buy one, had a fiddle with one on the course and every putt was left short :( try before you buy!!
