Played in the Medal today and one of the guys had one. A bladed putter with a polymer insert, quite heavy with a nice solid feel.Anybody got or tried one?
After putting out I tried it and sunk an 8ft putt, felt really true and solid when struck.
Sorry, don't know how to put a link up if anyone's interested, just google Fisher putters.

One of my regular Saturday group has one with the medium (reddish) insert. The shape of the putter looks really great but the face feels a bit soft and rubbery. I like the idea of different faces for different paced greens but would have thought they would have made the inserts interchangeable rather than having than having to buy two putters if you wanted a fast and slow one.

Nice idea homer with all your ideas you could go into business HJS PUTTERS sounds good :D

I played a few holes (8) with one. Classic Tour with Burgundy insert.
Looked good, felt really nice on the practice green, struggled all the way round. Swapped back to my AGSI (TM) and found my length again.
Could be a great purchase IF you can get the right insert.
Softer face = less bounce = bigger stroke (FOR ME) = no good. :) :D
About a week later, I tried a Scotty Fastback.....No comparison.

I toyed with the idea of buying when I was on the lookout for a new putter.
It felt great in the shop, nice and solid. Only tried out on the astroturf type stuff they have so no real test.

Ended up going for the Oddyssey 2 ball!

The putter I used had the reddish insert, and although I didn't actually feel the face, it certainly didn't feel soft and rubbery when struck.

I wouldn't be interested in changeable inserts, couldn't be faffed to change all the time. Surely when choosing a putter you go with the one that feels right for you and having to change inserts just complicates things IMHO.

Had one, loved it when I tried it, wasnt so hot out on the course and ended up giving it to the brother in law!

TBH I didn't like the shape of any of them. You're right about the inserts Homer - it would make more sense to have interchangable ones for different conditions - but they won't sell as many putters that way! :D

not so sure about that, I think they would sell more.

there are a couple of models that I like the feel/look of, and at £49 as they are currently (AG) are not a bad deal.

still not enough to put me off the B60.

just had a look at their website. they are about the only putter brand that declares the loft (3.5 across the range). from memory (not good) I remember Nick Faldo saying that you need about 3.5 in the states but 1 to 1.5 more over here - could this be the problem?

and they do have some models with interchangeable inserts - just haven't seen any over here.

Thanks for that I looked at one of these today at AG and after sinking 8 ten foot putts i loved it. (then i tried a putter that was the wrong feel and shape and sunk 6 out of 6 Drain pipe under the floor)
I think I will go for a scotty or the ping B60 which look lovely and feels great at £65.
unless you have a better choice for me to try.

what do you think of the B60?
i was pushing putts for 6 weeks and only noticed that the head had moved 8-10mm of the square. (this made me feel better until i thought that this means that all the putts I dropped in that time had been pulled or misread!!!!

thanks

I have one. It's in the for sale/wanted section.
It's a great putter, I must say. I regret not playing on enough top quality courses with fast and true greens to make it a better choice over my Monza Corsa.

Too late. Some STX putters already come with interchangeable weights and face inserts.
