Journeyman Pro
So I have been having issues with my putting of late, using a Ping Anser that's about 10 plus years old after having failed to get on with numerous others. My problem is always leaving my putts short... Always... And normally fairly stabby...
So I've been researching new flat sticks and went into DG today for a range session and decided to have a look at their selection and out of the blue I had an email saying 20% off everything... Uh oh!
I tried a couple of mallet putters, Taylor made, odyssey and Nike, but really didn't like it, they felt far to heavy and bulky and was causing my stroke to go inside to out.. I really like a more bladed head shape so had a go with some of those, again TM, Odyssey. The one that stood out the most was the Nike Method Core MC01w. It's a blade shape with weights on the heel and toe so has a little bit of weight which helps me go straight back and straight through. I lined the ball up with the logo and rolled a few putts and studied the roll of the ball and it was incredibly straight, no movement.. I then aimed for the hole and they just rolled in and rolled past which is what I am after, I want to get to and past the hole!
Needless to say, came out with the Nike method core for £80...
First outing on Saturday for the medal!
