Anyone tried X-OUTS???

Great post Parmo! Thanks for doing all of that.

No problemo, but it seems you can use them!! D'OH!!

It is recommended that the List is used for competitions involving expert players (ie Professional and top Amateur events). Use of the List in other events and Club golf is not recommended, but it is at the discretion of the Committee.

Unless HTL you are playing at Professional and top Amateur events?? if not, its the usual R&A avoidance issue "pass it to club level" which might get the rules sec working a little in the club house lol. So best check before using in a local comp.

Well done parmo, I knew it wasnt cut and dried. At club level it all depends on the committee decisions.

Thing is this time of year thoughts of competition do not come into play, or be high on anyones list of things to do. so I really cannot see anything wrong with using Titleist X-outs in the winter if that's your thing.

Especially as no-one in there right mind is going to be thinking about comps this side of March & April.

This time of year thoughts will be for practice, practice, practice & I'd have though something cheap like X-outs & something like Titleist that at least have some street credebility is the way to go.

Thing is I've plenty of balls to use up over the winter season not to need to buy yet more. But might get a few doz for next winter to squirrel away.

My personal view is that I dont care really and I dont understand why any intervention banning said balls is required. Surely if anything X-outs would be a comp disadvantage so whoever chose them, good luck.

tbh I wouldnt mind picking some of these up and keeping them for next autumn when the leafs take everything, I mean £6.99 for a dozen decent balls is good and 3-4 dozen would save you loads on your usual brand when the leaf gods take all.
