Firstly, I had a quick search around, but couldn't seem to find anything on this, so if there is another thread already I apologise.

As a treat, I just fancy getting a new putter.
Everything else in my bag is custom fit, and when i first had this done I certainly noticed the difference.

Now my putter is a club I use more than any other but at the moment it is just plain old standard fit, so I am planning to have a fitting session for this.

The problem is it seems putter fitting is nowhere near as common as driver\iron fitting.
Does anyone know of or even better can recommend a putter fitter somewhere around Surrey and the South East?

Any qualified PGA Professional will fit your putter for you. You might get a free 10 minute putting lesson into the bargain :D

I know just the place, http://www.pacheshamgolf.com/

Its the Mark Roe short game centre and they have all the latest SAM putting equipment. Also a great stock of putters, especially YES.

If you go on a weekend PM me if you fancy a game round my track, its 5 minute drive away from the pachesham.

Thanks HTL. Think I'll check the place out.

I was actually thinking of asking you and\or Homer to a game last year, as I know you are both pretty local to me (Live in Guildford and play at Clandon Regis).
Unfortunately I got a stress fracture in my hip around the summer, and have only just played again (and looked at the forums again!) for the first time last week.

Once I get the rust off, I'll sort something out. You're always welcome to come to my track if you fancy it too.

Cheers mate, we have a few forum members in Surrey now. Will have to arrange a big meet in the summer.

Will have a look at you club and let you know when im free.

Stress fracture in the hip does not sound fun. Glad your on the road of recovery.

if u go into any American golfs they will cut stuff down for you or add stuff on but try out fisher putters got one today absolutely beautiful true roll all the time they are undiscovered beauties and also depending on your liking you can get different face inserts there is firm soft softer and firmer i went for softer (green) face its beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

As an update to this, I actually went for a fitting session yesterday.

It was really interesting and really informative. Computer tracking and analysis equipment was used. I tried lots of different putters including my own. With most of the putters I was holing a lot, but the computer showed my impact time was slightly different so I was manipulating the face a lot to keep it square and hole the putts. SOunds ok, but under pressure this is the kind of thing that falls apart. My timing would only have to be slightly off to start missing putts.

With the right putter and with the right adjustments made to it I ended up holing out the same amount, but my stroke being much more consistent. So under pressure this is likely to be better. I also have some aspects to work on to improve my timing even further.

Overall this is something I would thoroughly recommend as the putter is often overlooked by many people who have the latest driver in their bag.

In fact I will be going back to have another putting lesson with the same pro in a few weeks.

Good for you mate. This will give you alot of confidence on the greens which is a huge part of good putting. Did the Pro use Tomi or Sam putting lab
I hope you found it was money well spent :)

SAM, was an excellent piece of kit, and seeing the data on the screen to back everything up was great.

Definitely money well spent, especially as I got the fitting\lesson fee taken off the price of the putter.

Hi surefire, nice to see another Clandon Regis Member on these forums. i've been a member there now for just under 2 years, really enjoying it there, although haven't got involved with the competition side of things... yet.

as for putters, can't recommend anywhere to get fitted but i can recommend Yes! putters, absolutely fantastic. I bought mine up at direct golf, sandown park.
