Anyone playing with injuries..?

Tendinitis in my left shoulder is almost gone, but I've booked myself a Physio appointment this afternoon for the pain in my right elbow. It's getting quite bad now.

Compared to the replies so far though I'm a picture of health!

Who isn't is propably right, both knees, back, (hence elec trolley), neck, ankle, wrists, stops me playing very rarely, I think we all just put up with it, and membership is to dear not to!! and I always seem to play better when I've got a bit of pain here and there, prob why i.ve dropped 6 shots in last 2 comps,

I don't have any injuries, I have a missing ACL in my right knee, but that isn't an injury its an MIA. My back is sore when I drive the wife's freelander, but not my mx5... But I associate a sore lower back with good golf, when I scored well my lower back was always stiff. I think I have a corn on my foot which I constantly rub down and the calluses on my left hand have been cut off by swiss army knife... that was relatively painless.

I need a hip replacement, it's the main reason why I packed in footie and took up golf a couple of years ago. After a footie injury I had my left knee ACL repaired about 5 years ago, I got through that OK and returned to playing. However the knee is giving me real jip at the moment, not swollen but burning pain. I've got to go back to the Hos-ie next month and I'm hoping they will say the knee pain is referred from the hip rather than local.

In terms of the effect it is having on my game, well some days it is a struggle to function let alone play golf, by the 9th I'm starting to feel it and by the 11th I'm in agony. I'm on a combination of Diclofenac / Cocodamol / Paracetamol / Amitriptyline and if I get the dosage and timings right I can get through the full 18. I've taken to playing on my own because I'd rather not bail out half way through a round with partners and I'll look for times when the course is quieter because I'm aware that I can't move fast when I'm struggling and don't want to hold up play.

When I took up golf I brought the work ethic from my footballing days with me and spent alot of time practicing and going to the range a few times a week as well as playing. I loved practicing and working at the range but I've now got to the stage that if I go the the range even once a week, it could knacker me for a game during that week. So I've knocked the practice on the head just so that I can play and even then I rely on getting my medication right on the day to get through. Sometimes I can even feel my hip "popping" when I'm static over a putt!! and If I'm honest it is really spoiling the enjoyment for me nowadays.

Been playing with a dodgy little finger on my left hand for months, I think it's called Trigger Finger or something.
Not painful as such but the finger kinda locks up now and again. Going to the doctors to get it sorted in the next few weeks.

Just had my first round after nearly 4 months off waiting for my reattached finger to mend.

The break hasn't helped the chronic wrist and shoulder problems. Finger was ok though :), just a bit sore after 18 holes.

Gammy left knee, sore right shoulder which hasn't been seen to and self diagnosed left golfers elbow which can still flare up but i tend do a lot of stretches to try and combat this.

Reattached as in...it had become unattached and has now been put back...? Yikes  Fair play to you man.

I only have a slightly sore ankle and, now and again, a sore lower back. And my putting hurts me but that's more an emotional pain than a physical injury.

Yep 'fraid so. Lawnmowers and kids don't mix!!

All good now though, a poor round was due to 4 months not playing, not the reconfigured hand.

My daughter is locked firmly indoors when I cut the grass. I have a poor track record with garden tools and wires.

Glad it hasn't stopped you playing. My bro lost the top of a finger last year and it hasn't fully recovered. He can't really play now.

He is now!

Funniest bit was the next time the grass needed cutting my wife was trying to do it, Son (5yrs old) had to open the window and shout instructions on how to turn the mower on!

Been up since 4:45am, after 3 days of golf. Normally only play a few times a month...

Lower back
Neck
Left shoulder
Right hip

All are currently vying for attention in the loudest possible way, and seem to laugh at painkillers.

The only injury I have is my badly bruised big toe - after I dropped my wallet on it last night. It was bulging from taking money off Hobbit every day in the Lexus Yorkshire Challenge ;)

Got the same thing on my right hand, let me know how you get on at the doc's would you?
