Anyone know of a good coach/teacher in the North East, preferably within 15-20 miles of Newcastle?

The guy I have been seeing is good and I know some will say if he is good then why change. Well the main reason is, that without a massive amount of range time grooving in what he's telling me to get me to change my swing so I can draw the ball is going to take a long time and I've been working on this for past 18 months 2 years and I feel that a fade will be my swing style and that looking to change is not going to happen.

So I would like a coach that will work with what I've got to make the best of that, rather than look to make wholesale changes, that without regular games/practice will probably just end up reverting back.

cheers

Fella at Ramside is good but I can't remember his name and it was a good 18 months ago. Helped me a lot with just one lesson but I'd only just taken up the game back then so it may be different for someone who is already playing.

After seeing you swing one of your major problems is over swinging when you get very quick

You seem to rush your swing after you have had one bad shot and then start chasing

When you hit the Ball with a nice natural smooth swing you get a nice fade which works very well

I personally would look at finding a way to levelling out your tempo

You hit a great golf ball

Pokerjoke mentioned the same thing at Blackmoor. I knew i did it, but oddly not when I did it, so saying it is after a bad shot is a big help.

So what did you score on your missionary trip to the south east?

Stop tinkering and fiddling about, and just go out and play.

Over three days

45 points combined total with Pokerjoke at Blackmoor, though to be fair I was carried on 7 of the back 9
36 points at North Hants and that was with two blobs and a 1 pointer. I think I came in under my HC stroke wise.
28 points at Tidworth, 18 going out and 10 back, the back 9 just chewed me Wookie and Thiery up.

I'm not tinkering, just after a lesson from a fresh pair of eyes, to point me in the right direction, the rest, as they say, afterwards is down to me and a lot of practice.

A little on the 'tired' side at WGCGC then
