I am bored of all of them, this is the sort of naffness that gives golf a bad name. The sooner they are all dropped, the better. There isn't one of them that is remotely funny either, and the Sally Gunnel one is just plain insulting, especially when deliverd by a balding beer gutted middle aged slob who is no picture either.

I admit, they are a tad cliched, but a lot of this game can be construed that way; the pontificating over shot selection, the pretentious posing of some, the cliquiness (if thats a word!) of some clubs....not a lot you can do about it....other than walk away, and you're not really going to do that, are you?

I've almost never heard any of these used on a course. The few times I did the guy looked thoroughly embarrassed when he realised what he'd said.

At my golf course i barely hear any of these either but the one about the boy friend sounds good.

If someone said on of these to me during a round i would just say "what?" and walk off they dont sound that funny although they are quite clever.
