Not really, a good plate will make money long term. The DVLA are running out of unreleased regs especially 3/4 digit ones so there's a limited supply.
Anyone got a golf related number plate?

Until now, I have always rejected the idea of personalised number plates but my wife recently pressured me into getting one for a birthday present ( out of ideas?).
It starts with my initials, then the year of my birth, followed by PAR. I’m still a bit in two minds about it, but it is easy to remember. It cost less than £300 including the admin fee.

That is not too bad as it is personal to you but doesn't involve moving letters or assuming numbers are letters. Those ones make the driver look a right tool

Even if someone pinches the physical plate, it doesn't matter. You own the details of it so you just get another made and fit it on.

I did similar, only it was my mothers suggestion and the money for it came from her will.
County of birth, followed by year of birth followed by my 3 initials.
No illegal spacing reqiored, easily ignored and nice and cheap
