Anyone ever played South Cerney in Cirencester?

Not personally, but know others that have (including forum members). I'm told that it's a fairly new (10-15yrs old) course, nothing spectacular but enjoyable enough.

Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Don't play it!! Instead, go into the field behind your house, get it made as flat and featureless as possible then put up a sign saying you are a golf club!!!

Owned by a farmer who is a tit too!!!

Cirencester GC is 3 miles away from Royal Sth Cerney. If they don't have a comp on, go there.......1000 times better.

Have tried Cirencester but its their club comp.

I am looking for a course inbetween me and my mate, I live in Droitwich and he is in Frome.

Have tried:-
Cirencester
Thornbury
Minchampton (old course available but not the two new ones)
And one more which I cant remember atm.

Any ideas??

try out lilley brooke cheltenham. the course is in gd nick all year round.

Yep, this is a good call.

Thornbury is a decent track too. Quite open, but always in good nick.

My gaff, Gloucester, is really coming along now (despite what Robo says :D). Not played in a few weeks, but the brand new range just opened, it's cheap, friendly and you get some cracking views on the back 9 - just as long as you don't mind it being hilly!

:D

Which is worse Robo, South Cerney or Gloucester? ;)
Trust me Aztecs, this cabbage patch makes Gloucester look like Augusta. ;)

As for Lilleybrook being in good nick all year round!!?? That'll be because it's closed as soon as there is a hint of rain in the winter or a dog pees on the fairway or something!!!

Between Droitwich & frome??? Stay nearer M5, so many better options than Cerney! Ross on Wye, Tewkesbury, Puckrup, Stinchcombe and pretty much anything round Bristol..........in fact pitch &putt on the M5 hard shoulder b4 Cerney!!! ;)

Right, Ive kept phoning round and I have come up with two more courses

The Park Resort - Cromwell Course £20

Cotswold Edge, Dursley - £23 Which I think we will be going with. Any good?

From 11 onwards is ok at Cotswold Edge, got to pick and plot your way through the holes in the valley. First 10 holes are pretty dull though.
