Anyone dropping clubs out the bag?

Don't get why you would give yourself fewer options. I get that if you never hit a club and have no intention of ever hitting it then take it out. But taking out the 6iron because you rarely use it? What if the wind is against and your usual 7iron shot is a 6iron that day, what then. Or you hit an unexpected shot, common for all of us, and have a longer second shot than usual? Why not have the option, especially if you are using a cart not carrying.

I carry 11 usually! I tend to swap out 5 wood and a couple of hybrids........but the bag is all but set at Driver, 3W, 5H, 6I, 7I, 8I, 9I, PW, SW, 60W & Putter. I tend to find the driver etc lets me get it out there as far as I can then I only need an iron or wedge to get it the rest of the way. My 5 Hybrid I love most and have control of it between 180-200 yards, so any long par 3's this wee baby comes out the bag and gets thumped as necessary. I sometimes even use it off the tee if my driver is being naughty.

I might possibly look at adding another wedge as i'm finding with the dried out fairways the now, I have a bit of a gap with sand and pitching for approach shots.......it's probably more down to the operator than the equipment though :)

6 iron is still in the bag, just, I do hit it a bit, I tend to hit a knock down hybrid into the wind, seem to get within 100 yards with any combo of rapture or 5 or hybrid so tend to hit the lower lofted irons less and less

Noticed my father in law has done the same, nothing below a 7 iron in his bag plus his Driver, 3 wood and 19 hybrid
