Not able to play Ellesborough next weekend ( 8/9 June) as there is a 2 day comp on which is Low handicap / scratch only.

So anyone able to offer me a game somewhere (I can travel up to 2 hours from Aylesbury)

Thanks in advance

Hmm it appears that the post offering a game has been deleted

So starting again

Anyone able to offer a game this coming weekend, please shout, I’ll pay my way and buy you a pint 🍺

Thanks in advance

Phil, if your prepared to travel up to Coventry, I'll host you, Sunday is better for me, as it's comp day on Saturday, if you want to bring the Grim Reaper he's more than welcome, let me know before Wednesday otherwise I will be fined for pulling out of the fuddle

Hi Rob
Long time no see
Coventry is fine to get to and Sunday is good too

The Reaper is playing in the 2 day comp, so you won’t be able to show him up 🤭

Shout me the where and when and I look forward to catching up

Thanks Sir

Fairly early start is good for me too.

I can't see a dress code on the website for Royal Copsewood.
Do my short socks have to be white or are other colours allowed?

Big thanks to @full_throttle for hosting us today.
Great to finally meet the Mighty Fragger.
The two of them were roundabout to handicap, but I was very poor scoring-wise. That never stops me enjoying golf. And it was very enjoyable.
Got the hang of my 1970s Petron irons towards the end.

Great day and a really nice little course, many thanks to Rob @full_throttle our host and to @Voyager EMH for a very enjoyable round

Rob got 38 pts
Moi managed 33
Alan was somewhere between 25 & 27 , but was blaming a glitch in his mobile emitter 😬

Considering the course has had to cope with some serious flooding, it wasn’t looking too shabby at all
And the mix of tees meant that it didn’t feel like 2 x the same 9 holes at all.

Very tight, one you have to plot your way around.

Thanks again Rob

Heck of a lot of 1-pointers for me. A couple of 3-pointers and not many 2-pointers. Only two zeros (I think) and they were on the same hole (its a 9-holer)

I got to see how an 11-wood is played (genius level) and I treated them to a 1970s bladed 1-iron to the par three 10th that hit the green (easy par)

Full_throttle lived up to his name, not merely with the 38 points, but with his entertaining conversation throughout the game.

Great day.
