Anyone a member at tudor park, kent

I left wrotham last season and joined bearsted, bearsted seems to get very very very wet through the winter which results on closure. The greens are have been absolutely rubbish this year and iv heard tudor is always in good nic.

I would like to join rochester and Cobham but 5he 1k joining fee is a big push off.

Fair enough. I can't say I've ever been hugely impressed with the condition of Tudor Park, but that's partly because of the level of footfall it has.

It wouldn't appeal to me as I like being able to play whenever I like, and that's not something that a corporate type place such as Tudor Park would offer. Might be better in the winter though.

West Malling isn't to my tastes either, and I suspect if can also get a bit boggy in the winter.

Kings Hill would be a very good option, but I suspect it's considerably more expensive and also possibly a little further away if Rochester & Cobham is your first choice (although unlikely to be more expensive that Rochester & Cobham). Are you in the Medway area?

some guys I played footie with recently left Woodlands Manor and joined Broke Hill.

When I played a trail round at BH only the back 9 was open and there were 3 temp greens which I found to be appalling for a mainly members only course.

What's Dartford like as I am looking at joining a club and its not to far with me living in Welling

Its a very friendly course and always in good nick.
Can get a little boggy in places over the winter, but they never seem to ban trolleys.

The layout is not to everyones tastes as its up and down and you tend to have some long walks between tees.
There is a joining fee or £1250 (or was when I was there) but its payable over 5 years.
If you walk away, like I did you are not liable for the balance.

TBH I was a member at Shooter Hill and found that to be a much better course layout, if you like hills.
I was a 5 dayer there, so never got to play in the weekend comps so can't tell you much about the social side there.

One to throw into the mix, if your're in Welling, would be Pedham Place.
Shot par 3 and good, testing 18 hole courses, plus a good driving range.
Clubbhouse lets it down somewhat, and not sure what the comp/social side is like.
Certainly better than West Malling, Woodlands or Tudor Park. Not as good as Kings Hill though.
