It didnt look promisising this morning, the course didnt open until 12, when I got to the club the first 4 out called it a day after 9 holes but my partner was gee'd up for her first comp so we set off. !st nine scoring wasnt great 53 shots including an out of bounds, I 3 putted both the 10th and eleventh from about 12-15, then I started picking up, 3 pars 3 bogeys as well as a 8 where I took 5 from just off the green, including one shot played left handed with an upturned wedge.
I came home in 46 for 99 and a net 70.
This proved to be the best by 3 shots, css was set at 75 and I got cut 3 then a ESR took another 2 off so down to 24
.
By coincidence there is a lancashire LGU team comp tomorrow that I said I would go around and mark a card cos we were struggling to get a team together, the handicap limit was 24.4 genuine so I couldnt have been part of the team, but now I can.
Bad new, I was fancying my chances in a board comp on Sunday, but the 5 off has probably put paid to that.
