Its been a bit of a crap few months re daughters divorce and she has had a hell of a lot on her plate. Not helped with her being on a police firearms course. Earlier today she took her final assessment and passed, she has now been presented with her certificate and is now officially the second female firearms officer in her patch. Chuffed to bits for her as its what she has always wanted. Seeing her in all her fireams gear is a bit unnerving and i would sooner she never felt the need to carry arms. But I suppose times have changed from when she was our little baby. Big cuddle coming off dad tomorrow.
Oh ah she must be able to shoot straight co they have asked her to do her rifle/sniper training.

At least somebody in the family can aim straight. Perhaps she can give you some tips Mr Tash and that handicap will free fall 😜👍

Nice one Tashy. My youngest daughter gave me a proud moment yesterday when in her first cross country race, she finished 10th out of 157 runners and being one of the youngest in the field.

good news, glad you got sorted. Nikki is very happy to be working at the same hospital she trained at

LP, Rich, Tashy..other dads out there..... Daughters are a bit special arent they :)

So proud of my Daughter.

She was never academic at school and left with average exam results. But she had ambition - to work with children and went on to study for her NNEB Nursery at College. She passed easily and worked at 2 Childrens nurseries over the next 12 or so years.

Then decided to go for a job at the Royal Alexandra Childrena Hospital in Brighton. Was one of 60 applicants and got down to the last 2, didn't get it as she didn't have Hospital experience and was asked to re-apply when another position came available. She did just that and was successful and now works in the OperatingTheatres as a Health Care Assistant.

She often tells us of some of the operations on the premature babies. The last one only weighed 2.5 kgs. her head was only the size of a tennis ball, and everything about baby was perfect except the bowels. Glad to report that the operation was sucessful.

Say thanks to your daughter and to all the people who work in those situations from a parent whose son was operated on when he weighed less than 2lb, that was 24 yrs ago and still thankful everyday to every person who cared for him.

This sums up young daughter Tash very well indeed. So much so that several teachers told her she had no chance of being a copper. One teacher however sat her down and told her she needed to work in retail to learn people skills. He invited a sixth former along who got her a job at Next. She worked there for three years. During that time she was told by the same teachers to stay there. She managed to get to store assistant manager and packed it in to be a copper.
She has often said that she would like to turn up at her comp Skool and look around said teachers cars and maybe bang a ticket or two on 😁
Would like to bump into said teacher who believed in her and give him a Tashyboy cuddle.

It's nice to hear good stories like this!

That teacher sounds like a good 'un. Good luck to your Daughter too, and Tashyboy, give her an extra cuddle now and again!

I will wait until Saturday before my next comment, my lad and his under 9 footy team are taking penalties at the mad stad on Saturday night at half time of reading vs Norwich. If he scores, I will reply, if he doesn't, he is walking back to Newbury.

As as long as he is not as predictable as Vardy he has a chance. 👍

I will be there Scott. Haven't seen kids taking penalties at half time. They get passed the ball and then take on the keeper. Usually get quite a few goes, so most score at least one.

Sky cameras will be there.

Cool, he will be number 5 Red shirt (assuming only 1 number 5, his age group has 3 teams!)

If you had a camera phone, i would ask you to film it for me in case you have a better angle, but i know you are in the dark ages still! ;)

Camera phone. :rofl::rofl:

I will ask my daughter, and see what she can do. They play to the side of us, so not too far away. The celebrations when some of the kids score are brilliant. Not seen a back flip yet though.;)

You wont see one from my lad! He will be lucky to kick the ball far enough to cross the line! I will tell the lads whom i know do Gymnastics that the celebrations need to be special! (I will ban my lad doing it, I am not spending the evening in Royal Berks!)

We were really willing him to score, but he is not a natural.;) We did laugh when he kept holding his head after missing. Very theatrical.
