Played Turnberry and Dornoch, completely different types of courses but both fantastic. Enjoy.

Interesting,just back from Birkdale and it didn't hit the spot,if that is the best England has to offer then no thanks to English Links golf as I would rate a good handful of Scottish ones including Carnoustie above Birkdale.

Not played RCD (but heard great reports).
Try Royal St Georges next time (in Feb/March it's half price too). More of the brute that Carnoustie is. It was only my second time around RB that I rated it higher than CC (which I've played 3 times). Birkdale is also the 'preferred' course in that area for The Open as much for the access (parking/spectators) as for the course. S&A next door (not played) and Hillside (loved it first/only time I played it) would be competitors otherwise - oh and try Formby a couple of miles down down the road too!

Haven't played a huge number of "name" courses but probably Sunningdale New is top of my list.

Both fantastic courses in there own right, the front 9 at Portstewart is fantastic

Only played a few top 100 courses, but my favourite by miles is camberly Heath. Not sure where it sits not that it bothers me. Every whole had its own unique feature and it for me that was the clencher
