Annual subscription 2026

A 5% rise at mine to around 1100. I've already decided I'm leaving though and have not decided if I'll join somewhere else or become a nomad for a while.
I think it's the most expensive club I've been a member at and the course is lovely. The deal breaker for me has been the sloth like pace of play on almost every round this year and it really kills the enjoyment of a round. Alternating between 7min and 8 minute gaps doesn’t work with a lot of 4 balls going out.

Probably my last year at mine
Ours went up around 6% to £1,426.00
When it breaks through the £1,500.00 mark I'm off, either to a cheaper club or nomad.

Is it that simple? Surely if subs go up so do green fees so it’s all relative. I’d find it impossible to define a pinch point, it’s like saying diesel is £1.39p/l, if it gets to £1.40 p/l I’m selling the car.

Yes, it's that simple.
I used to love everything about the place, but a combination of issues has blunted my enjoyment.
I have played maybe 4x times since October, OK the weather has been bad, but tbh I haven't missed playing.
So yeah, £1,500 is just too much
I can do so much other stuff with that money.

Me likewise - though one thing that I can't do in my part of the world for it is be a member of another decent members golf club. Just a fact of life that I have to accept if I want to be a member of the sort of club I've been a member of since 22yrs. It's going to be a bit painful but there you go 🤷‍♂️
