Annoying Playing Partners

I've played with them all and admit to having been five of them at various times, including both the monosyllabic youth and the incessant talker.... :D

Got a playing partner who get's a bit like it, one fluffed drive or chip or putt and he's off on one, muttering, swearing, chittering and champing at the bit until I remind him too "take a chill pill mate, cos if you keep winding yourself up I'm gonna kick your arse on the score card" he'll then chill out and everything's fine for the rest of the round !...

They missed "Mr Explain every shot" - The guy who talks you through the reason why every shot went where it did. Usually the explanations are complete garbage and he just isn't very good.

Played with Mr monosyllabic last week but not a youth. AN ex pro who obviously thought the monthly medal was the most important event out there. Even my partner was surprised by the guy. Hit his shot club away, and off (almost Mr hare) head down to the ball.

I think we have all had moments of all of these.

The problem comes when you are one or more of the same on consecutive rounds with the same person.

We can forgive moments, maybe even a few holes! But round after round, thats where the label comes in!

I admit to being a bit flag shy at times, when I suddenly realise on the 17th I make an effort to make a lasting impression :smirk:

Yeah I know what you mean, it's not intentional it's just your busy replacing your wedge in the bag and getting the putter out whilst thinking about how your gonna play the shot and so on then by the time you done that and walked onto the green somebody else has already beaten you to the flag, more so if your playing a 3 or 4 ball, can leave you feeling a bit guilty sometimes !...:mmm:
