Yup, had an angioplasty to insert stents after a heart attack. Not experienced an Angina Clinic, my understanding is that it involves a stress exercise test to assess whether you are suffering from angina & need an angioplasty. Was due to do this but had the heart attack first.

Yes. Watched countless, and in recent years experienced it first hand. Like any procedure, some can be done in an hour and some take longer. They say 2 hours but in reality it rarely is.

When I worked in the medical centre at the pit a guy I knew had a heart attack. He ended up having a stent put in. He dropped off work for over a year and went down the ill health route. Cost him over £50 k being off work. But getting ill health retirement was the " golden ticket". His case went to appeal. At his appeal he was told in no uncertain terms he was extracting the urine. He was told he was fitter than he has ever been and the only thing that will kill him was his continued smoking. He was told that thousands of these ops are performed every year with people leading full lives afterwards. He eventually finished on early retirement.

It is, conscious throughout, I was in on a Monday night and out the following Saturday after 2 separate procedures, no issues at all.
Very common and routine these days. My trust is one of the best nationally

I seem to remember being told there was very small % chance of having a stroke during the procedure.

Yep, been through it myself 2 years back. As you say, quite routine nowadays - especially if they go in via the wrist rather than the groin. I was in and out in a day (2 hours seems a little optimistic! I was in for 12 hours)
If your Mrs is anxious she can always ask for some sedation. It won't knock her out but will take the edge off.

I'd say be careful if you don't know how you react to it; I was sedated for my first one and apparently I was like a stroppy drunk which created some issues, had the second one done without sedation and it was no problem whatsoever.
The two hours will be for the procedure itself which is more than enough. However from memory it will be at least 4 hours after that to check that the entry point has closed up satisfactorily.
